Reintegration

The Veterans Center of North Texas can help Veterans integrate into the North Texas community, whether they are recently separated from the military and returning home or moving to North Texas to take advantage of our rapidly expanding economy. Veterans face many challenges when moving to a new community. The Veterans Center of North Texas can connect Veterans to many different types of support and mentoring groups to include peer-to-peer support, business, student, female Veterans, and Veterans organizations. The Veterans Center of North Texas also conducts an annual golf outing that provides the opportunity for Veterans to develop relationships and network with local community and business leaders in a relaxed environment. This event, which is free to eligible Veterans, provides the opportunity for civilian leaders.

"I appreciated them taking the time to understand all of my issues. I came to them asking for financial assistance with my utilities. They dug into case and helped me realize I needed more than money. They got me into a peer counseling group which helped me see that I was not alone. They helped me with financial planning and recommended I find a less expensive place to live. Bottom line - they helped me get back into the North Texas community." - Aaron B.

"The Community/Veteran Golf Tournament provides a fantastic opportunity to meet community leaders. I golfed with the owner of a local business and now we follow each other on Facebook." - Zach T.
